6 Industries Burdened with Excess Furniture in 2023.

There’s a mini-crisis developing in 2023. At the heart of it - industries & company professionals increasingly finding themselves at the heart of a common issue  - ‘excess furniture’. Stylish chairs that once beautified the space are now an eyesore. Comfortable sofas once the object of relaxation - now a source of

Fortunately, this crisis is no longer one to despair over - you’ll discover why and how as you read on - we’ve curated a list of 6 industries most burdened with excess furniture in 2023. Look out for your industry.

The 6 industries concerned..

1). Interior designers

This group of design zealous workhorses should get a mention. Now, separate interior designers have their own modus operandi, some choosing to store furniture for future jobs rather than sell them on. only to realize much later that those bits never got used again.

Other interior designers have a ‘hold no stock’ policy where everything that gets ordered, gets used, & if there’s leftovers at the end of the project, then they just have to go somewhere else. But if somewhere else doesn’t exist.. then what? (shoulder shrug)

2). Building companies

This group brings to the table show homes & marketing suites set up to showcase new property & real estate. Unavoidably, at the end of the campaign, furniture lines the suites and office floors. More work at hand then.

3). Luxury Concierge companies

In the case of those in society counted as cash-rich & time-poor, much of their affairs are conducted by staff, so it often falls in the lap of luxury concierge agents to find a solution for their clients’ ever increasing list of needs :

“Book me a reservation at the local 9 star Michelin restaurant, 7pm.”

“Reschedule the flight to our island on Mars to next week”

Etc, etc..

4). Estate Agents

This group might just be the happiest one. They get to drive around in their zippy Mini Coopers wearing suave suits in the summer sun - sweaty fun at least.

Summer’s the period that things pick up in the property market. But adding - clearing out excess furniture to the to-do-list might not be the most exciting task to embark upon - especially if there are no obvious outlets for getting this sorted.

5). Estate & House Managers

This group often work alone, but sometimes have fellow staff who they share jobs with. Common tasks include taking deliveries, organizing day-to-day affairs, making purchases, and if you’re reading this blog in particular, perhaps looking for a solution for excess furniture. But this task may soon be a thing of the past - scroll down a little for 6 solutions you can take advantage of today to get rid of excess furniture.

6). High End Furniture Brands

This group involves our favourite brands - complete with their shops, retail outlets & boutiques all facilitating the sale & display of high end furniture. Pieces shown to be slow movers or non-sellers are put on sales & promotions to help shift them. Black Friday, Cyber Monday & any other gimmicky names lent to days of the week are customary to free up that much needed warehouse or shop floor space.

Conclusion
